What guns are you looking to buy?

Post by The Showstopper... »

I am a turkey gun addict, I love them all, I am interested in buying another one this summer sometime if I can locate something that I don't have already or something new I can actually find up here, I am waiting on a Henry single shot turkey gun but I want something else as well. I'll be going with a 20 or 12 gauge, I already have a handful of .410's and they are not legal yet for turkey's and I'd buy a 28 gauge but they are not legal yet so I'll wait on a 28 ga.

What are you guys looking at?

That SBE3 is calling my name, as well.
Did they get the POA/POI squared away?
I heard they shoot high.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Benelli ultra light 20 or 28. But not likely to buy one anytime soon.

Not sure on the 28ga, but my 20ga and 12ga SBE3 both shot anywhere from 12-18" high with field loads. Never patterned with turkey loads. Couldn't hit the broad side of the barn with them. Finally made sense when I went to water swat a wood duck at 15 yards and saw my pattern sail clean over his head. Put them on paper with every shim it had and never could get it even close to a 60/40 pattern. Also had several reliability issues. Light primer strikes and jams led me to upgrade the springs with Wolf Springs. That took care of the light primer strikes and cycled heavy loads great. Problem after that was that it then wouldn't cycle light loads :violent1: danged if you do and danged if you don't

Traded that 20ga for a new 28ga beretta a400 and it has been one of the better decisions I've made. I will not own a benelli product after having terrible luck with both my 12 and 20 gauge SBE3

If I can get my M1 Super 90 I posted about issues with going that is going to be my primary gun for a while. BUT I have been contemplating an Over/Under in about any gauge. Buddy of mine is using a 16ga this year that we found an awesome handload for. That is a gauge I currently do not have. Also a 28ga Auto, maybe one of the SA28 Tactical Turkey models might be nice? Lol Who knows but I imagine I will pick up another along the way to add to the collection. Oh and for some reason I have a hankering for a 940 Pro Turkey with the 18.5" barrel. Lol

If I stumbled upon an 870 28 gauge I'd probably buy it pretty quick.

I'm also waiting for when the synthetic furniture montefeltro hits the shelves locally to see what they're like and priced at. Dad has an ultralight 28 but I can't bring myself to camo dip one of them.

I found a new Rem Versa max turkey, my brother and I split on one for my dad 2 years ago, I love the gun and I wished I would have bought it for myself instead of a b-day gift. I am leaning that way as of today.
