Antelope Smash Burgers

Post by Hobbes_mobile »

I can't compete with what Tom cooks and these are probably not thin enough to be a real smash burger.

My ground antelope has 10 to 15 % beef suet added and ground up with it. It still doesn't have near the fat that ground beef listed as 90/10 has.

Nothing special. Not even a classy bun....burger, cheese, bacon, mayo, mustard and chopped onion.

Looks good... Those no frills burgers hit the spot sometimes... Cheap bun ketchup and mustard maybe some pickles.

I should have added pickles, I normally do. I don't know why I forgot them. I prefer a burger without ketchup but usually make up for that with fries.

Just sitting here thinking about it.....a good dose of a thick chili with jalapenos would be really good on there too. I'd leave the pickles and mayo off in that case.

It was really good. It's surprising just how good antelope burgers are. I'd have to have one alongside an elk burger to really know for sure which I prefer.
