I’m tired & headed home

Post by Hoobilly »

Will post pictures and info on who all I got to meet this trip

Was a good time and I was able to get a 10x20 space for 2024!

Right now I’m at WaffleHouse in Winchester Kentucky

Stop on in and I’ll buy and first one who recognizes me gets a free box of 410

Safe travels. I only survived 2 hours of the Saturday madness and the hour and a half wait to get in. Glad I stopped by yours and Gooserbat's booths first thing because the crowd just kept building. I had a list of other booths to try and check out but the crowd just made it all run together.

I should have asked who more folks were at the Friday evening get together. Hopefully your group photo will point out who more of them are.

Shane, last year Wes and I had our list of booth numbers, locations, and individuals we were scheduled to meet in hand and were at the doors when they opened on the first day. About 2 1/2 hours later we were headed for the truck, grateful to have survived and on our way home. Hope you have a good visit with friends and family and a safe trip.

I wasn't able to make it this year after all. Glad you guys had fun. My neighbor had a stroke and we have been trying to help them out where possible. All is well now, at least as well as can be expected, but she is alive and recovering. Time will tell what the long term effects might be but for now it's a win. Hope to be back next year.

Sounds exactly like my brother and I. We sat outside of the exhibit area for 20 minutes for a break trying to decide what was next while watching another thousand people walk in and still a steady stream behind them. We decided we didn't want anymore. It was still fun but I'll try for Thursday next time.

Just got back myself. Great trip and we will have a booth next year. Saturday morning was insane but it calmed down later that day.
“What gets us jangly is the suddenness of everything. We hunt turkeys because we want to hear them gobble, watch them strut and all that, and we hunt them with shotguns because we want to be close to them when those things occur." - Jim Spencer
