One of my fish. I caught two good browns but didn't take photos for fear of killing them. Browns can't be kept. We had to keep a few bows that either got worn out or hooked too deep.

I don't think so. He's got two boys in IL. One just got married and the other is finishing college. They are both pretty connected to the area and my Mom and Sister both live there. He's ready to visit more often though.

He'd love to come turkey hunting but he works for an Ag company and can't leave his job during that time of year.Hoobilly wrote: ↑August 3rd, 2022, 8:53 pmRight onHobbes_mobile wrote: ↑August 3rd, 2022, 8:48 pm I don't think so. Old Faithful was the first thing we went to but I didn't take any photos. I took photos of things I'd not seen before. I may have one from last year.soiltester wrote: ↑August 3rd, 2022, 9:39 pmAw, comma' on' Shane, ya' can't do Yellowstone without a pic. of " Ole Faithful", like I saw, back in 59'Hobbes_mobile wrote: ↑August 3rd, 2022, 8:56 pmHe'd love to come turkey hunting but he works for an Ag company and can't leave his job during that time of year.

Shane, great pictures and fun time with your brother and wife.
Was in Yellowstone when a kid with grandparents traveling to Oregon to visit family. That was the year before the earthquake kid some campers, etc. Haven’t been back since. Want to get out there again soon though.

Great stuff, Shane. I've got to get out the someday. I'll take rainbows any day over a brown. Much better table fare!
Great pictures, as always!

I think those trout magnets would only work on steelhead!

Mr.Hobbes, incredible and please enjoy. I miss Montana, wonder if the deer numbers are returning in the Milk River-Frenchman creek area ?

Re: Brother's MT Visit
We've been using Gulp artificial leeches or nightcrawlers on what I believe is a Carolina rig. It's not the pristine mountain stream fly fishing that most picture, even my brother, but he and I both have enough redneck in us to be okay with catching fish however is necessary. We fished in the tail waters of a couple local dams similar to what we used to do at Kentucky and Barkley Dam for stripers. It's been hit or miss since we've lived here but it was on the few days we fished it.ICDEDTURKES wrote: ↑August 4th, 2022, 12:59 pmThis
