Darrel Gibson Trumpet

Last Friday I went to see Darrel Gibson. We played calls and talking hunting. We also went to Darrell’s Shop in the backyard. He showed me the basics of turning calls. He had a nice shop with three wood lathes and other tools. Darrell makes Trumpets and Crow Calls.
Darrell has created a new design of trumpets calls. He had three new trumpets he showed me. One made from Bamboo and two made from Ipe. I like one of the Ipe Trumpets the best. It made it way home with me. The new design is so easy to play. It took very little air to play and sound like a turkey.
