Post by ICDEDTURKES »

Venison doesn't really create enough grease give it the dark hue, was gonna add a splash kitchen bouquet to cheat but didn't..

Was happy turned out really good

Thinking about venison dirty rice this week, may add half a pound of chicken liver to a pound of ground deer. Did you add liver ect?

Looks great, Tom.
No liver here either.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

I've been making venison dirty rice for a few years now and it has become a favorite in my house. I just made a batch of smothered down venison and sausage with rice yesterday. C'est Bon!

Dirty Rice is one of our Deer Camp staples. Start with a box of Zatarain's, extra sausage and vegetables, add some corn bread and everyone is happy.
