Continuous Catch?

Post by guesswho »

I catch one or two coins on my property every weekend, Fri-Sun, the only time I usually get to visit. I catch them in cage traps one at a time, then dispatch “kill” them. Does anyone know of a continuous catch cage trap, swinging door, squeeze door, multiple door etc trap? I could eliminate “kill” a lot more if I had something other than a couple single catch traps? But I haven’t been able to find anything. I did see a couple two door traps.

What are your means of attractant for the traps you’re using now? I catch several a night in dogproofs.

Currently I put a couple cage traps by a feeder and use corn. Looking for a multiple catch cage style. Occasionally I’ll get two in the same trap.

I gotcha. I have tried cage traps in the mix of my trapping with very limited success. Once it switched to dogproofs it was a night and day difference, cat food and a can of sardines mixed together wreaks absolute havoc on the feeder bandits that I have. There are other means of taking care of them that I’ve heard of but that’s not a good discussion on the interwebs.

Two different property owners where I hunt include a golf ball along with scent bait such as sardines. I asked about the golf ball and was told it looks like an egg to the bandits. Gil

I can't help with the continuous trap but if you guys want to see a coon trapping fool, look at Iowa Trapper on YouTube. Last year was a 1000 coon year for him and I think the year before was 900 plus.

If not in city limits or with neighbors near by, Fly bait ( Golden Marlin) depending on moral stance or tannerite with corn scattered around works like a charm
