Smoked Flank roast

Smoked a Flank roast toady with a 1/4” fat cap and turned out pretty tasty.

Looks good. Makes me want to stop by the local BBQ guy and pick up some brisket.

It's just been too cold for me to cook outside here. I found a pork shoulder in the freezer that I forgot was there, but I think it'd be heck for me to keep the smoker at temp.

That's where I miss my Kamado.... That Arctic hell about 8 years ago or whatever I had it chumming along 250 at -15 when I started never missed a beat and used hardly any fuel.....y outdoor thermometer for the pit was blacked out to cold but didn't effect it

I'm kicking myself Walmart had the auto akorn complete with blower wifi and Bluetooth control blown out for 250 normally 500. Easy as a pellet pooper, waaay more efficient and turns out better food

I'll have to look into those. 500 is probably more than I'd spend considering my limited use, but $250 is closer to a number I could live with.
