Cycling vs Running (legs, biking, tendonitis, routine)
Cycling vs Running (legs, biking, tendonitis, routine)
Which activity puts less strain on the hips? Cycling or running? Any explanation is welcome!

Cycling a pump shotgun puts zero stress on your hips,
Running down a gobbler after a bad hit with a single shot will increase the residual compression to joints by 37%
Get as close as you can, then get 10yds closer

Anything is easier on the hips other than running. Although the benefits of running are great, but it takes a toll on you hips and below. I'd stick to a stair stepper, elliptical or bike.

Try a rowing machine. Plenty of cardio and easy on the hips and leg joints.

I have been on an extensive program of non-running for years and my hips still hurt. BUT my doctor tells me that the cardio is the key and that can be done with brisk walking, no running or pounding of the joints needed.
