Hurricane Ian

Post by Swampstalk »

I’m aware Joey46 lives somewhere in Southwest Florida. Has anyone heard from him or know his status? A lot of damage in the region. Being a veteran of Andrew, and several others, as well as witnessing destruction from several others. Many communities are essentially rubble piles. Our family has vacationed in Sanibel and Captiva for nearly 40 years, and it will be at least a couple years for the causeway to be rebuilt and recovery for residents and businesses.

We have been blessed with my daughter’s house in St. Pete, and my son’s property east of Orlando on the St. John’s River, which has flooded the area but no damage.

Lastly, my BIL from Montreal, has property in Myrtle Beach that spanked by Ian, though we haven’t heard about the beach front place there.

I didn't deploy but those who did say it's really bad. My buddy on Pensacola fire said the same. All involved say thank God DeSantis is the Governor ! :old_glory:

I can't imagine going through something like that!

Praying for all involved!
