Looking for Single shot Advice

Post by jb1069 »

I am kind of found of the H&R single shots but wandering if its worth building one for a turkey gun or just buying the savage. I like the old guns without the extra safety on the side. I am thinking 20g. Also if I buy a H&R which barrel would be best for getting threads installed for tubes, Full vs modified? Has anyone built one with good results using TSS? Thanks

The Stevens 301 20 gauge is a shooter and already threaded for removable choke tubes.

The reviews I've just read on it definitely agree with what you are saying! What choke tube are you using?

I truly would love to have the H&R topper 20ga turkey model

If you find a 20ga with a longer barrel it probably can be cut down to a desired length suitable for turkey hunting. I would want 22”

Winchoke or Remchoke what ever would work
