Saddle hunting companies

Post by Hoobilly »

Here’s a few pictures on saddle and tree stand companies at the show. From what I heard every company in the saddle hunting world was here together. It’s gonna grow and I’ll definitely be going again next year.

Young man who founded Cruzr is from Cookeville Tn

Owned a contracting company and when he started hunting from a saddle he made 7 years ago it grew into a big deal quick. Sold the contracting business and went full time in 2019.

Love niche market upstarts. He told me his claim to fame is his saddles are the most comfortable. If I ever get into saddle hunting I’ll be ordering from him.

And yes he is a turkey killer.

Out on a Limb

They make camera products to video easier and has one sweet liteweight tree stand. Was impressed but the price was crazy

Bullmanoutdoors.com

This feller makes the liteweight minimalist pegs for climbing. He has a lot of thought and time developing and refining the foot rest and how the fit on a tree and combat lateral movement when climbing.

He has a ring of foot anchors that go around the tree. His setup weights less than 5 lbs total. So with whatever saddle system you use your not walking in with a lot of weight to hunt

Trophyline
Didn’t talk to them and just thought this picture was funny. I have no idea what he is doing and why his face looks that way. Hope he doesn’t see this and come after me :LMAO:

Elevate

Solid looking tree stands. I didn’t ask how much. But I bet it’s not cheap. You get what you pay for

Crazy how saddle hunting took off.... Circa 15-20 years ago no one even knew what one was...

We have a guy in MI he's legit hardcore kills most his book bucks on public writes for D&DH blue collar hunter, he's real deal

I ran into him at a store one day back than we started talking whitetail.... At the time I was hanging 30+ sets a year.... He and he's my size said your perfect stature for a saddle gave me his number invited me to come over check them out, never did...

Crazy how they've become.mainstream almost trendy.... I'll tell you they would be the ticket for hunting OMP if it weren't for cell cams🤣

Especially when cameras these days send instant emails or notifications. You can’t just wear a face mask anymore

I had a cruzr, I now use a latitude. Both are great, the latitude just fits me better. Both are great companies as well. I am a smaller guy, folks a bit bigger than me prefer the cruzr typically. Either way you can't go wrong really.

Haha, I have not. Had a flock of hens walk under me last fall in WV during bow season but beyond that the opportunity has never arisen. That could be a fun challenge though. Staying completely motionless in a saddle is a challenge in itself.

As long as you could see them first and move around the tree before they spot you. And get a gun up. Now would be harder
