A lil different Chix Kabobs

Post by ICDEDTURKES »

Asian Sweet&Heat Chix Kabobs...

I started with bnl/sknl chicken thighs marinated all-day in a mix of oyster sauce, chili garlic sauce, ginger, garlic, sirachia, ketchup, spicy brown mustard and honey.... Reserving some for basting..

Started to make my fries rice with a mix of carrots, snap peas, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, broccoli and onion while the grill heated up.... My fries rice is a little different than most I've tried countless recipes and add ins and I've been really happy with this...

So now it's pouring out, didn't call for it... Buddy called said leases a new piece of ground we need set cams pick you up in 30  So now I'm scrambling...

So I basted the skewers flipping and had more sauce thickening on stove to finish...

So I had five minutes to eat... Left the kitchen a disaster... Lol

The chix was really really good lil a sweet on the front end a lil kick on the back.... Heat could easily be regulated through sirachia and chili garlic sauce

It would work awesome.on regular bone.in skin on thighs cooked indirect and a quick sear... I'll try soon

Thanks Mike.... Figuring you'd like with thigh meat...

Asian cooking is a.product of the pandemic... Sal and I'd eat "Chinese" once a week or so... We dabbled in cooking it, pretty good....Than Coodies19 hit and the lockdowns than takeout... But with the questionable sanitary practices of our Chinese restaurants the last thing I was chancing was Chinese....

So I started messing around with Americanized Chinese... Probably my favorite to make, I've learned alot.... I have a whole shelf in the door of fridge dedicated to various Chinese ingredients...

Once you get handle at home it's better than our restaurants... It's fresh, you can tweak ingredients for yourself and palate...

Like today due to the turbo cooking session last night I quickly used the finishing sauces on the rice.... Today I'll warm up in skillet and tweak a bit ...

Thighs are indeed my favorite. Any way shape or form. That's all that we put on the grill.
