Tri star 16ga

Post by Skimerhorn »

Thinking about getting a tri star 16ga. Wondering if anybody here has one or just how you like 16ga in general? Also wondering if the pistol grip will fit the 16ga?

I had an old model 12 16 gauge was a nice little gun for what it was. I sold it a few years back due to lack of finding ammo for it. My opinion if your looking for a turkey gun and going to shoot tss, A 20 gauge would be the best bet. Once again just my opinion. I own a tristar 12,20, and 410 all in semi automatics and have no complaints. So I would think the 16 gauge in a tristar would be a good gun! Good luck

I have 4 different models of 16 gauge. Browning, Remington, H&R and TriStar. It is my favorite gauge and will do whatever you need it to do. I handload lead, steel and TSS. Factory ammo is not as easy to come by as other gauges, but that is a non issue for me personally. My TriStar is an O/U not a semi auto. I have been nothing but happy with it. There was a guy on here who's son bought a semi auto and was having feeding issues with it though as I recall and was sending it back to TriStar.

Picked up one of the 16 pros they just brought out. The gun is definitely a keeper. I have them in 410 & 28 too. All have been super reliable.
