several have sold for that price this spring. I told many people who said 500-700 was stupid prices. Easily 2500 for a excellent shape vest

Still absolutely absurd for a piece of fabric and vinyl. But in the end there's an ass for every seat.

I cringe everytime I see what these are "worth" sal and I walked into Jay's large independent sporting goods store when they came out and both laughed at the full rack of them and the price.... Went back a few weeks later asked where they were.out of curiosity, guy we knew in clothing started laughing said guys all over the country were calling and buying them....

Of course hindsight 20/20 bout the whole dang rack and sat on them...

Yeah what's up with these "vintage" production calls.... I had a box with about every mid90s early 00s production call made from the big guys.... Not sure if I threw them out they got list, but dang I want that box lol

When I bought mine I didn’t have enough to buy the one on the rack next to it. Broke my heart

I hunted with a buy in OK a few years back said he collected the Dixon vests. Said he had 7 of them.

That'd be a bargain to ship to Montana. :) But, I'm not into collecting much of anything, especially vests at that price.

As far as shipping costs go.......
I wanted to buy something on here a while back that was a good price and was listed as shipping included. I told them they better check on shipping before they agreed to send it my way. The dang shipping was as much as what they were asking. I wasn't about to ask someone to do that so we agreed that I wouldn't buy. Also, the cost of shipping or every part of shipping was going to put it over or at the cost of a brand new one.

Are people buying these to resell later? Speculation as the recession nears? :dontknow:

What is the draw that makes people pay 150 plus dollars on a vest? Is it simply to hang up as a collectors item or are they being used to hunt?

Not at all being a smart ass,
Honest question guys, I have never been disappointed in any vest I have owned and don't believe any topped the 50 dollar mark. Just curious and by all means to each their own. Do whatever makes you happy with the money you earn.
