Great looking calls!!! What wood combo sounds best to you?
Re: Lamar Williams Box Calls
I own several . My hunting box from him is a walnut over popular . It was misdrilled ( drilled on opposite end for left handed people ) and suits me fine since I run left rail better than right rail on all boxes. I've killed birds last 4 years after at least striking them with it . It's always In my vest .
I've killed a couple with a paddle box made from jade poplar that was wood given to Mr Lamar by Neil Cost ... that one will sing and make them dance .

I like the sound of the All Walnut and the cedar box, they are deeper in tone and pitch and the Cherry and Mineral Poplar are both higher pitch. I haven't hunted with them and may not.Turkinator wrote: ↑May 7th, 2022, 10:09 pm Great looking calls!!! What wood combo sounds best to you?
