TSS for 2.75 12ga???

Post by JTown21 »

OK guys so in the past few days of joining GN and reading multiple posts, it's clear to see the knowledge and use of TSS here. I find it all very interesting. The benefits of TSS in small bore guns is crystal clear. Seems like all of the topics are on 20's, 28's, and 410's. So my question to you is would you find TSS beneficial in a 2.75" 12ga? Or would it just be overkill? Please pardon my ignorance but I ask this question as I have a Belgium A5 with a fixed full which my mic came in at .682. This is my dove/ringneck gun and was just wondering if TSS can make it a turkey killer too. Please let me know what I can expect and why? Thank you.

Oh hell yeah. I used my Dads A-5 a few years ago with a load Ronny/Reloader helped me with. Killed a nice gobbler. Cried a little. Then got drunk. Greatest day ever.
It was a Hevi load thru a mod choke.

There are no numbers on any of my clocks below 8. Then all of a sudden, 2 days before turkey season they appear. Then right after the season they disappear.
What's up with that

Damn gophert, great pattern and numbers for sure. Can you give me some load data on that? Any and all info would be much appreciated. I am a lead guy out of my 3" but I find your 2.75" results very interesting.

That load is another members work so I'm not at liberty to share. Hawglips is the TSS connection and has load data to get you started so shoot him a pm.

read it and weap boys...I got 5 shells left and when those are gone this magical, untouchable, pattern of the year will be lost for eternity. I've got to start hanging around reloaders with better memory banks...lol

So do any of you TSS throwing guys have a load I can work up for my Belgium A5. It has a 29.5" bbl fixed full at .682. I'm really curious to see a comparison to what I normally shoot.

How much shot do you want to shoot? I've got a 1.25 ouncer and a 1.625 ouncer in 2.75". The last pattern I shot with the heavier load through my Beretta/ ST.675 did 350/10 with 371/oz 9s.

It was stated above. Contact Hal"Hawglips" on this site. He has the shot and the recipes.
Recipes will include a components list. Order and follow the advice of the folks here.
Look for the powder first. It will be the most difficult to find component.
