Knives
I'm a knife guy, and just wondering what knife you carry in the turkey woods. I have always liked a Case XX Finn3, it has a 4 1/2" thin profile blade, and the handle material is stacked leather washer handle, It is a great old knife made from 1965 to 1969.

Re: Knives
I've never been a knife collector so seldom carry anything special. I typically have a cheap relatively short bladed fillet knife (maybe it's a boning knife) from Gerber in the truck for taking birds apart when traveling. I'll carry just about any folding knife for notching the tag. I won't really need it this year since we can use e tags now.

Re: Knives
Thank you. Scott does great work. Top knife made in 2016 and bottom one made in 2015. One is always with me in the turkey woods.

Re: Knives
Those two are works of art Doc! I would have a tough time taking either to the woods with me for fear of losing it. I only carry a small little case folding knife with me in the turkey woods. I always have a few in the truck to chose from for cutting up birds.

Re: Knives
Thanks but they are used. If you look closely at the bottom of the second picture, I failed to crop out my tailgate. Both were taken to send to Scott as thanks for a job well done and evidence of their use.

That's what I carry in my "kill kit" for elk and deer. Elk can dull the best of blades.CamoMan4025 wrote: ↑March 20th, 2022, 1:53 pm Outdoor Edge is my hunting knife, you can't beat the razorblades on those things....never dull.
