Base For 870 20 Ga.

Base For 870 20 Ga.
Could someone tell me which Weaver base fits a REM. 870 20 ga. I used to know at one time but old age has not been good to me…Lol……TIA

Thanks Turkinator, had a buddy that wanted to mount a 1” scope on his 20 ga. I figured out which Weaver base it took, I tried to talk him into a Sumtoy base and a FF III but he’s too tight for that.

I think that it takes the same base as a Remington 742 if my memory is correct.

This is what I used. Had two holes drilled and tapped in receiver. The base is only slightly longer than a red dot like the Fastfire or Viper….

I have a one piece Weaver on my 870 20 gauge, but I couldn't see the model #. I looked all over, but with it being mounted on my gun with my scope I couldn't locate it....sorry.

EGW has them, on the 870 the radius between the 20 and 12ga are the same.

In another thread they also list the mounts from EGW for FF3 that IMO a better option for red dots to get closer to the barrel.
