I know I've made these alot

Post by ICDEDTURKES »

But everytime I make them, I wonder why I don't keep a can on hand. Have everything else on hand, easy, tasty and pairs with about veggie, deep fried side, pasta salad, baked beans etc

1 can 14.5 oz salmon
1/4 c diced onion
1/4 c breadcrumbs or panko
1/4 c flour
1 egg
3 TBL Mayo
Seasoning of choice

Drain, make patties, few TBL spoons EVOO med heat until browned or golden in this case..
Mom always drained them well. I had a buddy who would make them, he wouldn't, they were juicy.. Salmon Juice = disgusting lol

I drain well and than something I do different is, squeeze the meat in my hand further draining.. You may think they'd be dry, but the mayo coupled with the egg and Moisture from onion, there about perfect for me, moist but not soggy.. Also watch your heat so you can cook through, brown nice without burning..

Spices, I've made a pile since fall with different things, tonight was lazy a liberal hand of Old Bay and dried parsley.. It makes a good patty.. I've done Cajun with diced Jalepeno which is killer.. Did a lil this a lil that.

The above recipe is easy makes the perfect moldable flippable patty everytime

Looks delicious. My wife would go nuts over these! She loves salmon.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Seriously guys it's that freaking easy, I found a few different recipes and tried this past year.. This one is jam up easy..

Just make sure you drain the juice well, Mike your wife will appreciate it, gets the salmon taste out leaves a hint.. Make your patties so they're not to thick, to thick you'll burn the outside before the inside is cooked.. I get 6 per can...Mom made them a lil smaller these are about perfect for me..

Spices, skies the limit.... Try em post up

Oh and in my post I said panko or breadcrumbs, shoulda included cornmeal that's what I like best but all woek
