Seat Covers

Post by Turkinator »

I’m going to put seat covers on my truck seats. I’ve narrowed it down to Marathon or coverking. Any pros and cons for either? Price is similar, installation is supposed to be easy

Were they fairly easy to install?

I can second sportsmen if that is the company from Mississippi. I had some on a Nissan Titan and they were excellent.

Yea,no different then the cover kings from that stand point..The cover kings just fell apart way to quick and washing them once a year just made things worst.

I pulled the seats out to install both brands.

The sportsmen’s covers fit much better, the only thing I didn’t like about them was they wouldn’t sell me a head rest piece in just camo..they put there logo on it which includes deers and ducks etc..one I’m not paid to flount your logo and two I’d rather watch paint dry then deer hunt..But my wonderful wife took the stiching out and made them bare camo.

I have had the sportsmen covers for a year now and they show no wear..When it comes time to wash them I feel I could power wash em let them dry…They are made in Mississippi as mentioned..The wait time was a little longer then I wanted but it is what it is

I went with the marathon. They said it is about a 10-12 week wait for them.

Sportsman and Marathon are almost equally priced. Both look good. The self install video looked pretty EZPZ.

I am on my 3rd set of Marathons. 3 trucks over a (first set 10 years, 2nd set 9 years) 20+ year period and seats look new when you take them off. Cant say enuff good about them. Expensive, yes sir, but fit like a glove, waterproof if you buy the right ones. Wear like iron. Excellent covers. Not hard to install but they are custom fit. They fit tight. Just take your time, get em lined up right.

I've got the Cover King's.......no complaints what so ever, after 4 years they still look brand new. They're in my hunting truck. And the install is very simple and easy.

I had Marathon seat covers on my 2004 F250, best investment I ever did. Traded that truck in 2 years ago (had it for 14 years) and the seats were in excellent condition. Recently got a 2021 Sliverado and that was my first accessory that I made sure to put on.

I have the Marathons but I’d highly suggest looking into the Wet Okole’s. I wish I had known about them before I got my marathons. Much better cover in my opinion.
