Tristar va mossberg 410

Post by Skimerhorn »

Looking at getting a auto 410. I've narrowed it down to the Tristar pistol grip with 24in barrel or the mossberg sa410 with 26in barrel. Both have threaded barrels and tapped recivers. Any thoughts on either of them?

They are made in the same factory. Same assembly line

If you buy the Mossberg Sa410 you can get a Tristar pistol grip if you have a Tristar serial number to order parts for

If the TriStar and Mossberg are essentially the same gun, what is the difference in the listed weights, due to?

I’d like to know this also. I getting ready to buy a new 410 and the weight of the Tristar is more appealing to me.

I was looking at the tristar camo G2 viper 410. And mossberg SA 410ga TSS turkey gun. I ended up going yesterday buying the SA 410. I also have the mossberg 500 410 TSS turkey gun. I ordered a Indian creek choke for it Wednesday. Thought I would use the chokes in the 2 mossberg. Wrong they won't one is a invector system. Other is a beretta system. I bought the ninja tss 9.5 shot loads.

Not sure where you done your research but I’ve never seen or heard of anyone having cycle issues.

Mine hasn’t gave me any problem cycling

Be prepared to put red dot on it..I tried the tru glo pros, didn’t fix the issue.

I was shooting mine few weeks ago..doing some shell testing..Click,rolled the gun over and racked it,a piece of metal that appears to be a extractor fell out of it.

Stuck the shell back in and fired it,later fired 3 shells to see if it messed a beat and it did not...Will worry about it later, gun fires and cycles fine, and I have have shot it a good many times since then.

If it clicks on me during season it will be wrapped around a tree somewhere..I don’t play games.

Over all I’m happy with the gun it’s kilt turkeys like I wanted and handles well for me.
