Mossberg SA410 Turkey finally in!
I have had a Mossberg SA410 turkey on order since March. Got notified it has finally arrived at the dealer. Going this week to pick it up. I already have an IC .380 choke on hand for it and 2 boxes of #9 TSS 3”. Trying to decide if I want to stick with the factory sights or put a reflex sight on it. Thinking it may double as a decent squirrel gun too!

Those are very nice. Held one at the nwtf convention and it balances perfect.

Can’t wait to shoot it!! Took off the rear ghost ring and put on a Vortex Venom 3MOA reflex sight I had lying around the gun room. Stored the ghost ring away for safe keeping! My Indian creek choke fits nicely. Will update with patterns soon.

I have a .380 IC choke on hand. I saw from the foxtrot testing that .390 seems to be the better choice? Is the 380 too tight?

The Tristar mobil choke 380 shot the best patterns. Since the SA410 Mossberg is the basic same fun I would assume it would be the same constriction. The 390 in the Stevens 301 is probably what you’ve readBuckeye3405 wrote: ↑September 12th, 2020, 12:58 pm I have a .380 IC choke on hand. Can’t wait to try them out! Zeroed the red dot last night with some Winchester hi brass game loads. Then I shot 1 round of Federal 3” TSS #9 13/16 oz at a measured 30 yards. Attached is the photo of the pattern. Indian Creek .380 choke.

Very promising as the Federals typically don’t shoot good.

Do you have any recommendations on how to “paint” the 410 Indian creek choke? Or do you just leave it “in the white”?

Buddy brought one by the house the other day. Would have saved me some money had they been out 2 years ago. They got everything you need, except maybe a pistol grip stock but that's just my opinion, to be a perfect little turkey gun. Drilled/tapped with a rail provided, Mobile choke system, Old School Bottom Land Camo. I like them and may have to have one! Lol

Shot these two patterns with Foxtrot 1oz legend Ammo. 25 yards and 40 yards. Pretty darn impressive. Indian Creek .380 .410 choke.
