Re: 28 ga. & .410 turkeys
Wingbonehntr, that mere wisp of a gun can get'r done. Congratulations. Did you make the sling? Gil
Re: 28 ga. & .410 turkeys
The little Yildiz single shots did it again this morning on a Long Beard double at 29 yards. We are totally hooked on the 410s, Sumtoy chokes and #10 TSS.

Got to watch this one crumple yesterday hunting with a buddy. Never gets old.

Somehow I missed this the other day and made a separate thread. Anyway here’s a 28ga gobbler

Here is a Montana bird taken by my wife. It’s the first kill for the 28 gauge Beretta Silver Pigeon using 1 3/8 oz. TSS #9 1/2. The call is a Marlin Watkins fiddle paddle in bloodwood over wormy butternut.

May 1 bird in New York. My first turkey with my 410. TSS #9 dropped him in his tracks at 32 yards.
This completes my all gauge slam. Well, not really, because I have not and don't intend to use a 10 gauge.Re: 28 ga. & .410 turkeys
Two in two days with the Savage 301 410. Federal factory #9's. Factory choke, extra full. First bird with a .410. I have to admit, it was easier than with a bow and arrow.

Nice gobbler!
Them 301T’s are so cheap I bet you have more money in them turkey calls than the gun

Great job. You ever get the Baikal MP18 20 ga. up and running after the red dot battery failure? Gil
Re: 28 ga. & .410 turkeys
My bird was taken with a Remington 870 with a camo wrap. Choke from Sum Toy.

No. 9 shot shot is illegal to use in New York for turkey.

Found a flock yesterday, and persuaded one brood hen to come close enough... ended up being 47 yds. She melted right there.
