Pointer Phenomena .410

Post by jsh909 »

Anyone got any recent feedback on if these guns will cycle 2.5in rounds? I know 3in cycles like a breeze from testing one with some tss goose loads a couple years ago, but I am more concerned about light Target and skeet loads.

The barrel is stamped as 2-3/4in or 3in shells which I found kind of funny. I am sure they didn't want to make a new die for only 1 gun, but seems a little wonky to even put it there at all if it's wrong.

Thanks guys

I don’t think I’ve ever even heard of these

If it’s stamped shorter than 3” and we know the 410 is either 2.5 or 3” I would hope they would cycle

Right, I would hope so too. They are nice. The one o used cycles 3in flawlessly. Came with 5 screw in Beretta Mobil chokes.

The bottom one with bottomlands stock and forearm is the one I am looking at. A local shop has a few of them.

Almost looks like the Tristar Viper lineup

I would guess they are very similar. It was a TriStar rep/dealer I was hunting with.

The TriStars we have are solid. 2 of the O/U Magnum camo hunters, 1 raptor 3in 12gauge semi auto and 1 O/U 16gauge. All have been very reliable, but I am a Browning guy and they weren't able to sway me away just yet. I do use the 16 quite a bit though

if its a tristar viper g2 clone it will handle it all. My 410 g2 will shoot a short shell a long shell and then a short shell, the chokes are very tight though

Thanks hookedspur and jasper. Mine is still on order, the shop had one, but there was a full camo version available from vendor. So of course I decided on that one instead, but I am guessing they are a short run model.
