It was 67 with a strong breeze, sunny & clear skies at 01:13 when I got into the woods
this afternoon. I went about ½ ways through the woods & sat down. I noticed a rub
right in front of me that was probably a week or 2 old.
I kee-kee’d off & on until 02:40 when I walked back to the south side. I went east along
the edge for a couple hundred yards before cutting back into the woods heading north,
kee-keeing as I went. I did find what I believe to be a some time roost tree based on the
droppings under it.
I know there have been birds in the areas I have been hunting as I found the evidence.
There are t-storms predicted for tonight & temps in the 40s tomorrow so I doubt that I
go out. If I was seeing a lot more fresh sign or hearing/seeing birds, it would be a different
story. There is always another day.
It was 72 with the same sunny, clear skies but the wind had picked up when I headed home at 03:15.
