Opening day in Ohio

Post by jsh909 »

Needed one for the freezer.

String broke on the release, but was lucky enough the rage opened and the Mathews shot straight enough to harvest this 3 yr old doe. I didn't get any injuries either, except a bruised ego for a bad shot. However she didn't suffer.

Nice doe! Glad you killed her!

Several years ago my cousin had a release that was wore out and he popped 3 arrows off the string that all landed about 20 feet out in front of him. That buck walked down the fencerow to his daddy’s stand and his pops kilt it 😆

My cousin threw that release from the stand. I couldn’t believe that as Scott releases are warranted for ever and they have excellent customer service
Don't start none, won't be none!

Thanks man!

I have used a Scott little goose for my entire career. They are great and like you said lifetime warranty.

I should have been more clear, my bow string broke when I released it. It was a circus.

Was weird but I didn't see a single squirrel and this is usually loaded with them and our primary squirrel woods as well, but they are very few and far between so far this year here.

I don't bow hunt any more. I have a bad rotator cuff in my right shoulder & tendonitis in both
elbows. I have thought about an x-bow but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Sorry to hear that. My father is in a similar situation. He uses a crossbow now and loves it.
