Feeding whine advice

Post by bwhana »

I have tried unsuccessfully to master the three note feeding whine on a diaphragm call. I can kee kee, cut, and yelp perfectly, but just can't figure out the whine. Any tips will be greatly appreciated as to techniques or call types. I have tried batwings, combo, and ghost cuts to no avail, and they all give it too much rasp. I have watched Scott Ellis' video on its but just can't make it work.

I’ll ask my kids. They’ve perfected it.

This is Scott Ellis'video. I have heard birds doing this a lot, just can't replicate it myself. https://youtu.be/eKOdTw_VnVk

Thanks for the info. Trying to remember if I ever heard a Turkey make that sound. Going to see if I can make it.
