Ground Beef & Potato Casserole

Post by HunterGKS »

I saw an Amish recipe in our local newspaper the other day which sounded pretty good.
I added my touch with additional spices & mushrooms to make it my own.

I was able to Julienne the potatoes & onion with absolutely no blood shed, another
Miracle!! There was even enough potatoes, onion, & cheese to make a scramble for
breakfast tomorrow morning.

It turned out pretty tasty, if I do say so myself!!

Beef & Potato Casserole

Ingredients

• 1-2 pounds ground beef
• 1 large onion diced
• 6-8 potatoes shredded or julienned
• 2 10.5 ounce cans of cream of mushroom soup
• 2 4 ponce cans of sliced mushrooms drained
• Slices or shredded cheese of your choice
• Salt, pepper, & spices to taste. I used 1 teaspoon of salt, pepper, paprika, oregano,
onion powder, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, & parsley leaves

Instructions

1. Press the ground beef into the bottom of a skillet or pan.
2. Spread half the seasonings on top of the beef.
3. Spread the mushrooms on top of the beef.
4. Spread the onions on top of the mushrooms..
5. Spread the potatoes on top of the onion.
6. Spread the remaining seasonings on top of the potatoes.
7. Spread the soup on top of the potatoes.
8. Cover the skillet & cook on low for 30-40 minutes or until the potatoes are soft.
9. Remove skillet from heat & place the cheese on top covering to allow the cheese to melt.
