Oven Roasted Short Ribs

Had a rack of short ribs sitting in the freezer so I decided to make them for dinner...

Didn't want to run the smoker so made them in the oven...

Rubbed it down as if I was going to smoke them and laid them over a bed of onions, carrots, potatoes, yellow squash and zucchini seasoned with olive oil,little salt and pepper and a pack of french onion soup mix....4 hours later at 350 they were butter...

Look freiken killer.. Hammer down on those for sure..

Everyone I know that has steers butchered offer me there short ribs, they don't know what to do with um.. They know I'll try anything.. I made um in the crock pot this winter and they were killer..

Funny you did these I just told my sister I'm getting them this week.. I opened my yap said how good they were, this time if I nail them differently my mouth is shut or rattle off a laundry list of stuff needed lol..

The ones they get are flanken cut.. Cut across bone every 2 inches..

The flanken cut are good for grilling...

I think you are a fan of asian flavors so if you can get a good Korean style recipe you will love it...

Know me to well lol That's where I'm going.. I've been eyeing all the Korean recipes, all pretty similar.. I have about every Americanized asian ingredient there is..

My bil is from Laos, marinades are a huge part of his cooking, longer the better, most the rib recipes overnight, I'll probably give longer..
