There's been a thread on another board about fried rice so got the hankering..
I had some thighs needed used up.. I made something similar few weeks ago but this is a little different. Made up some teriyaki glaze, really starting to dig sweetness of Mirin.. Store bought teriyaki is too thin.
I make fried rice different in flavor and consistency.. A box rice kinda set the bar as to what I like, actually just use one ingredient lol, after trying countless fried rice recipes I found one that was what I really like in fried rice, so I kinda work off that.. I really up the sauce to veggie, meat, rice ratio. Veggies I use a ton almost equal to rice and use bigger cuts. To my palate, it's perfect.. It's somewhat sticky, has a different flavor.. To me restaurant fried rice even with a protein doesn't cut it as a entree, this with chicken or pork does. Was gonna make chicken fried rice but no room with all the veggies, got two different flavors this way..
