Sloppy Joe(s)

Post by ICDEDTURKES »

So I made this plural as I wanna add to this thread. So I don't sleep well. Literally I sit and think of foods all night, I'm high anxiety, it's my happy place. Mom was a great cook, she grew tired of cooking and said what do you want I need ideas I'll cook it. I post so that others do and they post their, ideas and inspiration.

So a while back I'm like there's gotta be more ways to make sloppy joes then the same ol. I came up with four ideas that are different, sure as heck googled and recipes lol. Read through multiple recipes of each I thought of find common elements, think how can I twist a fuzz.

Really wanted do all these before rifle as I think they'd freeze well. But I think are good ideas for any gatherings.

I'mma try to get to all four soon biggest problem is Covid, nobody gets together and I end throwing out tons. Love cooking for friends and family.

So tonight, Philly joe.
Strayed from just typical green, but red and orange as well. Had a bag with about half of each, cut and used with small onion. Omitted shrooms, not by choice but didn't have any lol. I stayed with a sauce mixture I found online different then normal joes good easy. Cheese called 8 pieces of provolone, 8 peices, for 1lb burger??? Ratio was perfect. Onion buns as I love um and figured they'd go well.

Side simple, normally make with steak fries, but I love crowns and had on hand. Plus my chefs knife turned on me yesterday and sliced me, lil as possible with knife today. 450 to crisp last five minutes shook on Onion powder garlic powder and parmesan cheese. Aujus didn't have any as I don't eat it but whipped some up normally Frank's for me or horsey sauce.

Simple to make easily taken to potluck in slow cooker, different, never seen it done til I thought and googled. Original recipe said serves 12, no, 4-6 which shocked me one lb. Another thing there's alot of liquid, I melted cheese, turned off burner and stirred and stirred. First thought I'd need a fork, but no consistentcy was perfect.

I'll try to keep this thread going if ya want.

May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Good Lord! Thumbs up for the food, but I'm going to puke after that meme.

Tom will have to start another thread so I don't have to scroll past Biden and that thing.

Oh man, I should have added a smiley face. I was just joking about it. It was pretty disgusting but it sure didn't offend me. I actually laughed at it quite a bit. :toothy7: :D :D
