Hunt

Post by Gobbler »

I hope we start killing. My season got side swiped . We need some birds entered. I will be calling the Doctor tomorrow. He said I could go after 2 weeks. Which is Wednesday. I want to make sure. I was going to use a 20 gauge i set up a few months back. It sure patterns nice withe the mag blends. I would sure like to kill one to enter. I killed one open weekend and forgot to take pictures. I figured I was going to pile 4 or 5 up this year between Florida and Georgia. Just goes to show never assume anything.

Plenty of time left to still stack up three or four more. Just be careful

Just got off phone with the Doctor. And he said NO shooting a shotgun.
My other restrictions are been lifted so I can be more help and productive at work. Oh boy that makes me happy.
Screwing off at work was my only fun thing I had left to do.

Oh well I actually see the Doctor for a three week exam next week wed. We'll see if I have any chance to hunt end of April or early May.
I love and miss turkey hunting but I am not doing anything unless he OKs it.

Definitely listen to the doctor. What about a crossbow? I wouldn't think it would be as jolting. But I wouldn't push it either.

I thought about that, but I don't have one so I'm looking in to it. I'll ask when I see him next week.

Go kill some Merriam's. All you need for that is some rocks. Small rocks if you use the heavy variety.

crossbow or 22 would be my thinking if he says no to shotgun. Heck your a pretty good shot with a bow.

Well my 3 week check up went good. The Doctor is happy. He even told me I could now shoot the shot gun cause the surgery part has healed. I didn't even ask,but he knew I was going to because of all my phone calls last week. And because I have the oil in my eye that holds everything in place I'm able to do pretty much what ever I want.
I am still going to take it easy. I won't use a 12 ga. I am looking at semi auto 20 ga. I won't be able t hunt this weekend so maybe next weekend in Georgia. Maybe I can get one for the team?
