The Escort youth PS 20 I just picked up is really close to that. Its getting drilled and tapped tomorrow. Every other box is checked.aclawrence wrote: ↑January 18th, 2022, 9:26 am The only semi auto with a 21-22” barrel I’ve seen is the 11/87. There’s lots of semi 20’s but they all have 24” barrels. I agree that no one is putting together my dream turkey gun. Short stock, short barrel, bottomland or obsession, drilled and tapped, 20ga!

Re: Mossberg 940 pro turkey
I'm assuming if they made it fit a specific model, they'd have some sort of agreement/contract with them. I would assume that either Mossberg owns a share of the company or the company paid some amount for it to fit theirs exclusively thinking it would increase their sales enough to pay off.Gmed wrote: ↑January 18th, 2022, 6:12 pm Per Mossberg’s web site it says: “940 Pro Turkey shotguns come optic-ready, with receiver cuts that accept low-profile direct mounting of Shield RMSc-pattern micro dot sights.” Looks like it just fits the Shield series unless someone makes an adapter plate. You would have thought the Fastfire/Viper base would have been more popular….
Is that a popular sight in other shooting circles? I've not heard of it before but I don't get around a lot.

I got to shoulder one of these guns yesterday..didn’t feel nothing special to me but my short arms it takes a compact to feel good to me..I did like the gun and the shirt barrel..If the make a 20ga I will have one..was actually impressed by the dip..most of the time a factory dipped gun leaves a lot to be desired.

I held the 940 when I visited the Mossberg boothHobbes_mobile wrote: ↑January 14th, 2022, 10:10 pm I noticed that one of the local sporting goods stores had a Mossberg 930 pistol grip in 12 and a 500 pump in 410. The 12 felt nice but I need one like I need a hole in my head. I'd go with the 940 if I was looking for a new 12. The .410 was pretty cool, but I can't say that I have a ton of interest in hunting with one. Still a cool looking gun. I was kind of shocked that they had them, at least the pistol grip turkey 12. Turkey guns aren't hot items here.
It surprised me on how nice it felt. Felt like I was holding my beretta 1301 tactical. If it shoots as good as it felt, it will be a winner. I’m ordering on this week

Do you guys feel the 18.5 Barrel is to short? also is it a heavy gun?

I wouldnt be afraid of the barrel, might loose a bit of velocity. The weight is over 7lbs so its a non starter for me. Now that same gun in a 6lbs +/- 20 gauge would be a different story.

Held one yesterday. In my opinion 18.5” is perfect, it’s too heavy for me! If they shaved a pound and a half off and made it in a 20ga I would buy it in a second!-DIRTNAP- wrote:Do you guys feel the 18.5 Barrel is to short? also is it a heavy gun?
