Medow creek mounts
I just ordered a medow creek mount for my 870. It looks like the real deal!

How do you guys like it mounted on the barrel vs the receiver? Going to get one for my a5 but just wondering what yalls opinion is on one vs the other.

If a gun is already opts ready on the receiver then of it on the front of receiver. If not, the vent rib mount saves you money by not paying t drill tap and a base.
It’s actually easier to swing and use for wing shooting than a receiver mounted dot

I have the red dot mounted rather forward on my yildiz 410 so a rib mount should be no problem as to acquisition or field of fire

I didn't notice any difficulty in acquiring the target with mine mounted on the rail. I have a 410 and a 20 ga with meadow creek mounts. Love them!
