Properly stored (dry air conditioned space) indefinitely. I bought a bunch of 16 gauge WW upland loads that had been stored in an unheated, uncooled garage. they were the original rendition of the compression formed AAs and were produced in the 1970s-1980s. They ALL worked fine.

I just leave mine on a shelf in my basement. As long as they are in a dry room temperature area, you won't need any kind of storage box. I have some shells 50-70 years old never been stored anywhere but on a shelf and they work just fine still

Guys still shoot WW2 surplus ammo all the time. Store it right and your grandkids can shoot it long after your gone.
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have no need for a 30-06, I have a shotgun
