I guess everyone missed the part of my post that said "DEPENDABLE". I have seen lots of guns fail, both expensive and cheap. The problem with some cheaper guns is that there is not service for them. Know of one person that bought a cheap O/U and it did not last 250 shells before it broke. Nobody would work on it because you could not get parts. They sent it back to the factory and they kept it for 5 or 6 months before returning it. It lasted about 3 boxes of shells and broke again. Back to the factory for 4 to 5 months. When it came back this time, it was sold without firing a shot.
Turkey guns do not see the amount of shells a clay target gun does, but I want to have a good feeling it will work when it should. For me, that means more than one or two shells fired. I don't carry a handgun unless I have shot it enough to have some confidence in it. Same goes for my hunting guns.
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have no need for a 30-06, I have a shotgun

Been killing gobblers with the same Yildiz O/U since 2014. In state, out of state, and am often fortunate in amount of hunting and shots taken. :dontknow:

I don't know that it's better than most Browning, but I wouldn't trade it for a new Citori. Might would for a proven Cynergy Feather, but only if proven to not need any work to bring it up to the Yildiz for hitting the mark.

After the dealer replaced my defective SBE, I had my second SBE from 1998 to 2013 until I traded it to a friend for an old double Ithaca 10 ga NID chambered for 3.5". I had sold the double to a friend and regretted it immediately. It took awhile to get it back and he was eager to trade. I never had issues with my second SBE nor did it make me a better turkey hunter. It had taken the bench a few seasons prior when I started shooting a 20 ga. Super Bantam with TSS. I had an opportunity to get rid of a surplus gun that I no longer used and regain a gun I wished I'd never sold. Gil

I like Benelli myself. Have SBE2 and M2 20. My fave is SBE original wood stock but don’t currently own one. I have killed tons of game with 870. The Benelli seems to fit me equally as well. Barrera is just as good but doesn’t suit my eye. SX3 and 4 also great just don’t fit me to my liking. Absolutely could hint cheaper guns and kill just as much but I enjoy nice guns. I also enjoy nice trucks. I should buy a truck with 200,000 miles spend some money on it and drive it 100,000 -200,000 miles and start over. But I like a nice one and breaking it in and putting all the scratches and dings in it myself. There’s a cost to do it but I earn it.

I personally don't believe anyone would want a cheap gun over a well made expensive gun.

Before I bought GobblerNation from you all you had was a cheap12ga for turkey hunting that the stock kept falling off of. I knew I overpaid for this website when you bought tss and a Benelli

Anyone hear of the Russian arms manufacturer Kalashnikov? Of course you have. Kalashnikov Concern is the group that makes the civilian weapons sold under the “Baikal” name. Baikals are made in Izhevsk, Russia, at the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (IMP) which made Russian (Soviet) WWII weapons including most notably the Mosin-Nagant rifle which was made from 1891 through WWII. Over 37,000,000 M-N rifles were made. It was the standard issue rifle carried by Soviet/Russian troops in WWII. Izhevsk is a city where 95% of Russian armaments are made. Currently under US import embargo, Russian made Baikals are cheap but only as to expense and not ‘cheap” as to durability or reliability matters when it counts. The Russians know a thing or two about making reliable weapons. As for the unlikely potential for the need of spare parts, I have a spare Baikal MP18 20 ga. should the need arise and electrical tape is still available at no great cost. ;) Gil

I seem to find duds in all shotguns. Had a berretta that wouldn’t bolt a shell in it. Gun shop said they would exchange it for another when they got one in. Made me so mad I exchanged for m1 super 90 that shot everything over 1 foot low. Bought mint lc smith. Right barrel perfect but left barrel shot 2 feet to the left. Bought Winchester model 12 heavy duck that the safety would refuse to go to fire position about every time a gobbler would show up. Bps 10 that had at least a 16 pound trigger pull. Weatherby 20 that shoots 1.5 feet to the right. The list goes on.
The guns that I have had almost no issues with are the old browning a5 shotguns. Been looking for a mint one in 20 magnum but they cost more than the most expensive new auto loaders. Guess I’m not the only one who likes them.

When I was a little fella these Benelli fanatics would have been touting Browning A5s. I think Benelli was only making motorcycles back then.
