3020 barrel chopped

Post by HoltBensley »

Just got my barrel back from Stuart at CompNChoke I had him cut and rethread my barrel to 22”. I was thoroughly impressed with the turn around time and the pricing. Just letting you guys know if you have ever considered doing it.

Not sure exactly..I tried putting it on a bathroom scale and kept getting 5.8-6.2lbs

I’ve been trying to decide if a lightweight 20 is going to be enough lighter than my m1 12 with 24” barrel to make the swap. It’s handy and shoots good. Seems light enough to me. And I don’t carry a lot of extra stuff so I may just stick with the 12.

Me personally after shooting tss out of a 20ga and seeing what it can do I retired my 12ga. But like the old saying goes.. “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” I guess it’s all personal preference

3020 barrel chopped

I’m seriously considering having my sa-20 turkey done. I have always loved 18.5” barrels but it’s 22” now and not sure if I would gain enough to notice. Do you notice the 4” difference?
