More Smokeless muzzleloader
Did more shooting yesterday..
Shot 3 saboted loads and 3 full size bullets
The sabots with the Hornady 200g sst and 35g N110 with me pulling on a shot and hitting left. The full size is the Parker BE 250g that is my first attempts at using the swing-lock bullet sizing die to form them to my barrel.
To say I’m liking how it’s shooting now is a understatement.
Firmly believe this SMl will shoot better than I can with it.

Re: More Smokeless muzzleloader
I have been shooting SML's for many years. Haven't used a sabot since. Have guns set up for both full form and smooth sizing. They shoot better than most deer rifles. Shot a doe last year at a ranged - 343 yards with my 40 cal. Lots of info at Doug's Message Board and YouTube videos from Luke, at ASG Smokeless ( Arrowhead Sporting Goods )
These things are the real deal! One huge request - ALWAYS have a witness mark on your ramrod. I am happy to share, if anyone has questions.

I'm shooting a savage ML11 smokeless I bought it new
And it still shooting great with Hornsby 250gr hp xtp
And n110 also Barnes 250 gr ezt with the n110
Both loads shoot fantastic killed lot's of deer out to 300 yds.

Re: More Smokeless muzzleloader
I have 2 witness marks on this one. For 2 type of loads and powder. I actually have pulled the breech and cleared it to make sure. Safer than sorry.Yule wrote: ↑October 30th, 2020, 8:39 am I have been shooting SML's for many years. Haven't used a sabot since. Have guns set up for both full form and smooth sizing. Re: More Smokeless muzzleloader
I’m hoping to kill one in Kentucky this season
I also see a lot of the savages that have been swapped to a pacnor barrel to get it a smaller caliber

Re: More Smokeless muzzleloader
With my blood pressure and shooting left handed right now I would pee myself if I was able to shoot 200 yards like that
