Winchester 1300

Post by Razorback22 »

New to the forum. Just shot my last tss load out of my Winchester 1300 NWTF gun this morning. Haven’t patterned it with anything else and needing to dial it in with a load like Hevi Shot or Winchester Longbeard shell (something I can buy here at my local stores) tried #5 longbeards earlier today and it wasn’t very good. Any help would be appreciated. Gun has a Burris ff3 on it as well

My Win 1300 shot 2oz. of Hevi #7s in the 3" shell through a .660 very nicely. Also patterned Hevi #6s nicely too. Buddy shoots a 870 with a .665, and he too patterned #7s and #6s really well. I'd start with 7s if you can get them easily locally.

I have an older 3” 1300. With appropriate IC choke it shot well with both hevi 13 2oz 6’s AND Mag Blends. If still expierementing try the LB XR in #6s too. IC choke was around $70 when I got it thru BPS. Good luck!

Picked up 2 boxes of Hevi Shot 2oz #7’s. Shot this evening. Seemed decent enough to hunt with. 108 hits inside an 8” circle. Roughly 60 more on outside of target. Cleaning the barrel good probably would improve it a bit. Shooting Indian creek 660Image
