Waterfowl

Post by Hoobilly »

I see with the unusual cold front way up north in Canada has a major push of ducks and geese heading south. Some are claiming this could be the best waterfowl hunting in our lifetime from what is being said up north.

Looking forward to killing some next week here in northern Indiana.

Any of you have fowl reports that’s promising?

I don't duck hunt but there is a river just across the road in front of my house. They have been shooting up a storm since it opened a couple of weeks ago. It seems to be way more blasting then in years past. Seeing lots of waterfowl.
Good luck to you hunters!
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Horicon is about 50 miles north of me. I've hunted there when I was younger. Some duck, mostly geese. That was back when geese were sacred in Wi. You were allowed 1 a year in the Horicon zone! Now the buggers are everywhere!
Haven't hunted waterfowl in years. Pre steel shot era! Damn, I'm getting old!
The were great fun to shoot but never much liked eating them.. Flying liver to me!

Got a limit of geese and 1 Woody. Saw a bunch more woodies too but was content with what I had, so I basically watched. Was a good day
