I have been under the weather (NOT Covid-19) for 3+ weeks & today was the 1st day
that I felt like getting into the woods. I swapped out the card in my trail card & was
ready to go at 12:55, temp 57, sunny with some high clouds, & a light breeze.
At 14:25, a doe & fawn moved from the corn into the woods to my left. 5 minutes
later, a fox moved past me on my left & jumped a few feet up a tree. I hurried the
shot & missed & up the tree it went out of sight. I got up to stretch at 14:41 & a red
took off behind me. At 15:07, a fox appeared near the spot where I missed the 1st 1.
I suspect it was the same bushy but it didn’t give me a 2nd chance.
The breeze had picked up & the sun went behind some clouds & it became really chilly.
I decided to head in at 15:53. The temp was 52 & the breeze stronger. Not sure when
I’ll get out again.
The 9 point in the 1st pic has only made 1 appearance. The 4 & 6 pointers showed up
on several different days.

I sure hope you're right, Charlie. Every year I see good to great bucks on the trail cam.soiltester wrote: ↑October 16th, 2020, 7:35 pm George,

Every year, hey disappear the day before opening day.
Last year, I actually got 2 good bucks fighting. Never saw either during season.

That 9 is a stud and a young deer. His frame could carry some serious mass. Very nice buck!
