rangefinders

Post by Hoobilly »

lost my old Nikon hunting rangefinders..

needing to get another one.. Vortex is out of the question

what do you think is the best bang for the buck on replacing the Nikons? they would hit 600 yards if conditions were good. otherwise 4-500 yards is about all they would consistently do

My son and I will shoot 500-1000 yards on the farm once the crops are picked and we had to use flags every couple hundred yards with the Nikons.

I'm really satisfied with my vortex products. Why is it out if question?

I really like the the rx600 reticle . Caught it on sale and it wasn't a bad deal . Use it on my turkey vest for the last 5 yrs plus .
The Leica 900 scan is no longer made and its good enough to double as a 7x monocular.
I'm running a 2100 now and it's bad azz... but still like the rx600 reticle design the best of all I've tried Swarovski, Leupold ,leica and Zeiss !

Another vote for Sig. Mine is a Kilo 2000 that I bought on sale. Excellent optics and ranging ability compared to my old Bushnell.

I've had a Leica 1000 for over 15 years, very reliable
7x glass is very clear, I use it as a monocular turkey hunting as much as a rangefinder

I can see where a 6x or better would be beneficial

Sig for me. Have a couple of the old 850's and 1250's for archery and a 1600 for the BDX scope. The 1600 will get you a lit display anything under is the black display.

That would help with my old eyes

Don’t think I’ve ever used anything but rangefinders with a black read out

By all means go 6x or better. I use mine as rangefinder AND a monocular most of the time. Cuts down on the weight factor.

Been using a Sig Kilo 1600 the past 4 years. Love it. The red LED display is nice!

I found my Nikon

But due to everyone here talking about Sig Kilo I bought the 1600 version on Amazon prime day deals. Little over $200 for them.

So glad I took the advice from everyone here.

Lasered 1095 yards with them

These will come in handy when I get back to shooting the smokeless muzzleloaders and my rifles
