Re: #664 Dixon ebay
I’m a firm believer in people spending their money however that choose but I’d like to know why these vests are bringing this kind of money. I had one, wore it for several years, then sold it for about 6x what I give for it, I just can’t see spending $3-$4000 on one…

This makes me wish I had bought one when they came out and put it in the closet. My retirement investments aren't doing this well!

Re: #664 Dixon ebay
I know a guy who bought several 2-3 years ago when they hit 1k-1200 on eBay. I think he had 6. Sold one to a feller who wanted one bad for what he paid for it. That feller owned it a year or so and asked me if he should sell it for 3k. I told him if he needed money badly sell it. If not wait until they sell at 5kTail Feathers wrote: ↑June 29th, 2022, 6:36 pm This makes me wish I had bought one when they came out and put it in the closet. This proves one thing.........there are turkey hunters with a crack pipe.
Re: #664 Dixon ebay
I can see paying big bucks for a custom hand made call or decoy by a known maker, and initialy attributed the justification for the cost of the vest and calls as a tribute to Bob and his family. But this vest is, although a limited edition, a factory machine produced item, which like all vest, has its fans and detractors by those who have utilized it. It is, after all, just a vest and doesn't call or shoot turkeys and, as far as I know, doesn't empower the wearer with mystical turkey hunting skills. With that said, if it did, I would have one, the cost be damned!

I can’t bring myself to spend $250 on a vest let alone that kinda money. I do however like the straps on the Dixon and may have some put on my nomad vest.

I’m still rock’n my old 10X vest from the early 90s.
It too could use some better straps, already has a few patches.

I hope you don’t mind, but I’ll give the proper answer here. You should owl hoot and have three owl decoys put out in an inverted V position.spider316 wrote: ↑July 1st, 2022, 4:48 pmMr. Soil, so on this day that is quickly approaching on Monday the 4th. Sir, so the inverted V should be into the wind ? There's a fellow called CamoMan who told me to always give a Hoot or Caw Caw uphill, upwind and from upstream. He does have a ProStaff. So compared to a Woman, does a Turkey gobble or compared to a Crow who just pecks at it ?guesswho wrote: ↑July 1st, 2022, 5:27 pmI hope you don’t mind, but I’ll give the proper answer here.
