Ha....I had one of those many many years ago.......not sure what happened to it! I've just been lucky, but this week I'm at our annual bomb tech In-service training. Well today was explosive range day. The last volley of shots we were doing was with time fuse. Yep, just like when John Wayne lit the fuse and threw the dynamite and BOOM! Well, basically it's black power in a core and it burns down to a blasting cap then the high explosive goes.....BOOM!

So the last shot did not go BOOM..........therefore it's a misfire. We wait the hour which is required and go down range to examine what went wrong and place a new blasting cap on the shot. Me and another tech went down and the time fuse burned all the way into the cap, but the cap didn't go BOOM....We are down there "finger banging" this pissed off blasting cap so we can put a good cap on it so it will all go BOOM and go away......I told the other guy, I don't mind "finger banging" explosives, but when you have a pissed off blasting cap tied into live explosives that changes the game...........let's say PUCKER FACTOR X 1,000.

All went well, but I'm getting way too old for this crap............anybody out there have job I can have so I can retire and move on????
