Personally I wouldn't body shoot but I think that is up to the individual. Know your gun and what it will do.

I've killed the majority of my birds with a bow but I can kill them just as dead with my shotgun.

What exactly is your question ?

I only shoot flying turkeys, it’s unethical to shoot a bird while on the ground or in a tree. They don’t call it wing shooting for nothing!!!!

I didn’t see an option for shooting out of the truck window while the vehicle was moving, so I didn’t vote.

Are you serious dude. Dang. Are you just fishing or what. It’s common sense. Call the Turkey up and shoot it in the head with shotgun and be done with it. I don’t know what your problem is.

I saw no category regarding shooting hens off limbs with or without flashlight or night vision optics.
However, it is bad manners and inconsiderate for the driver to shoot from inside the truck across the center console out of the passenger's window without asking the passenger first. Let them get the flock shot unless they are small children and shouldn't have been drinking with you under most circumstances. It is important to teach them manners and their place by your example.

This is exactly how I was brought up,
as kids when road hunting drinking was limited to opening day and birthdays,
unless you were hunting with Uncle Lenny, then you a little more window time for shooting and refreshments.

Hard to reasonably answer that question by checking boxes. Everyone SHOULD have different answers based on several factors including equipment, skill level, terrain, etc. As far as im concerned head shots at 40 yards and in, thats my personal standard. Im capable of more but that is my “standard” and I stick to it, rules of the game so to speak. If a bird is wounded as a result then by any and all legal means are on the table. I dont think its as easy as clicking a few boxes.

Still hunt out of it. Even upgraded it by having it wrapped in old school Treebark. But the idiots ran the pattern the wrong way.

Agree with Chiefrazor: headshots 40ish yards and in. IMO if he won’t close anymore he gets one more day….
“Son, Turkey HUNTING starts at 40yds and in. If you can kill him farther that’s all you’re doing- KILLING. Make him think he’s answering you, call him up, kill him closer-Man! Now that’s what it’s meant to be…” Johnnie Keel ( an Old Pro most never know)

WOW! This thread devolved very quickly, in a very funny way!

Does any one drink till morning and then go out and limb lift them? I didn't see that option.

On a side note, what are your thoughts on mounting a punt gun on top of your side by side and having your kid drive it? At what age do you let the kid shoot the punt gun? Asking for a friend.

Extremely well said, all of us will score a touchdown on Monday morning. Unless you're in the arena on Sunday, don't judge the Could've, Would've, maybe Should've man in the battle.
