What is This??
I found this bone next to where the fox landed. There weren’t any other bones close to help with an ID.
I did find a partial deer skeleton scattered along the outside edge of the woods so it could be part of a
deer but I haven’t seen anything like it on the deer I have butchered.
Any ideas??

That was my 1st thought but it seems small. Maybe a fawn?
Also got the same answer on another site.

I don't think I the pelvic bone is particularly large on a whitetail but I can't tell how big the bone in the photo is.

That thought never crossed my mind. Too bad I can't get to the carcass of the

That is a ritualistic face mask from a devil worshipping cult of hippies,
you need to bury that thing ASAP and sprinkle powdered chicory and dried ramps around it in an 8' circle.

Definitely a pelvis, has a "ball and socket" joint. No signs of a Coccyx bone/tail from a mammal. No signs of Trauma/chewing. Either way, poor thing is out at the plate !
