Vehicle Detailing

Post by CamoMan4025 »

Well, just me here after several beers (actually Bold Rock hard apple cider), but don't hold that against me. I've been working on detailing my truck today since the wife is out of town. Anyway, I've been using a ceramic coating for about a year now and it works great. I think it's good as members to pass stuff along that we've used and give an honest opinion and review of the products. I know Tom(ICEDEDTURKS) is a detailing guru and I'm not on his level, but for us poor working souls, this stuff is great. Depending on the condition of you vehicle, this could be a little labor intensive. I'm lucky and I brought my old girl up to speed with a little bit of elbow grease.

I know some people love detailing vehicles and some just don't. I work with a guy that says........."it will get washed when it rains"! I've always enjoyed doing it.

Here's a link to the products from The Last Coat. I even sent them an email about a year ago on a Sunday and BAMM.....my phone rang and it was one of the guys walking me through how to do what I was asking. They are a small time company, but growing. They also have a lot of YOUTUBE videos to explain how to use their product.

Good Luck,

Kevin

I hate detailing.

I applaud anyone that can do it all day and make their ride look good

I don't especially like doing it but I love it when its done. Here is another item that is just amazing for the interior. Eagle One Interior Detailer. Super easy and wow does it work. BEWARE. $8 at my local parts store but same can / size on Amazon $19

Rarely happens to my vehicles and only if someone gives me a gift card to a local detailer. It is nice to have one that clean though.

I have been using some stuff by Turtle Wax called ICE SEAL AND SHINE. I am no detailer and my car and truck sit outside (wife's SUV gets the garage) anyway it seems to hold up well. I was always a Maguires guy until I found this stuff.

I will also give the nod to the second coat. Been using it for for 2 years. truck, car, boat, tractor, trailer, stuff goes on easy and lasts....

My 4Runner had a concrete mixer detail it Saturday at 6 pm when I was heading home from a dove shoot. The mixer fell off a trailer into our lane after it detached from the ball of a truck hitch heading towards me at highway speed with me going in the opposite direction at highway speed. No injury to me. My passenger was transported to the ER. He’s okay. We went airborne, and witnesses said we rolled several times while spinning. Gil

Glad to see that you both made it out with no injuries. Someone upstairs was watching out for you both, Gil.

Is it safe to use C$ as a detailing agent? Inquiring minds want to know.

On the upside GLS, you don't have to waste a day detailing it now. :)
Glad y'all are OK.

Good looking vehicle. Our Toyota dealership is combined with Ford. They have a few Fords but the Toyotas are scarce.
