Ryan McGhee texted me earlier. He had a tough time with Katrina and here we are 16years later with what could be as bad.

God be with those who stayed in coastal LA! If you've even been to SE LA then you know it's a fisherman's paradise but it comes at a cost. Also, if you enjoy fresh gulf seafood, several of the ones who provide you with it are taking a beating right now. People in South LA are extremely resilient and I know they'll bounce back. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

I'm in MS just across the MS/LA state line on I-59. We'll see our worst weather overnight tonight. Mostly a tornado threat here. Also, my wife is a healthcare worker and is currently on storm team at a hospital just N of Lake Pontchartrain. Prayers appreciated!

About 50 mi NNE of Port Fourchon ... Just shows you the seriousness of storm surge. Check out the time stamps. Doesn't take long.

Me made it fine here at my house. Got rough for several hours starting at about 8pm last night. Very minimal damage and lost power. Wife made it fine at her hospital as well. Appreciate the prayers guys! The folks in SE LA will need for some time to come!!
