Saw this trio on the way home from lunch today. They were on the east side of the creek near
where I have seen GBHs. I drove past, had to stop, & back up. When I did, a GBH launched
from the creek. First 1 I have seen this year & I didn’t get a pic. DRAT!!!! I’ll keep a more
close watch from now on.
At 1st, she was looking over her shoulder at me. I think she got a little nervous & turned her
head to face me broadside. She never flagged & didn’t run. I only took a few pics as I didn’t
want to spook them causing them to run as it was 87, too hot for them to run. For some reason,
these pics came out a little fuzzy instead of sharp & clear. O’well.

I saw a little fawn run across the road in front of my truck Sunday. He was still pretty small but he was big enough to run. I never saw the doe, but I bet he was following her by the way he was making haste.
